A tea label can tell you a lot — if you know where to look. Here are the details we check first when adding a tea to WellnessBrew.

What to look for

  • Tea type and whether it is a true tea or herbal infusion.
  • Origin — country or region, when stated.
  • Format — loose leaf, bags, powder, sachets.
  • Ingredients — especially for blends and flavoured teas.
  • Brewing guidance — temperature, quantity and time.
  • Pack date or best-before date for freshness.

Treat claims carefully

Be cautious about bold health promises. Tea is a wonderful everyday drink, but labels that claim to cure, detox or guarantee results should be treated sceptically.
